I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 as a rank holder. I then spent four years as a Finance Manager at a large multinational company in India — reading accounts from the inside, and learning how numbers are made, managed and sometimes dressed up.
Investing had been my interest since 2002, and in time it became my work. I left corporate life to study listed businesses full-time. Over two decades I have lived through several bull and bear markets — 2008, 2020 and the many smaller storms in between — and they have taught me two things: the price of a share and the value of a business are different, and patience is an advantage most investors give away.
In March 2022 I was registered with SEBI as an individual Research Analyst (registration no. INH100004775). I am enlisted with BSE, the Research Analyst Administration and Supervisory Body, under enlistment no. 5228, and hold a valid NISM Series XV: Research Analyst certification.
Most retail investors are offered tips, not research. My aim is the opposite: a handful of ideas a year, each argued in full, with the risks stated as clearly as the case — so that you can judge the reasoning for yourself.
